35.5weeks!!!
Its been another busy week at my house - and I didn’t get in to update from my appt with the endo. last Thursday.
I love my doctors!!! I am going public, but honestly I have had the best care I could have possibly asked for. My ob is one of the fetal medicine unit doctors, my endro is one of the best in Brisbane, and the Prof. does all my ultrasounds. I often had a thing about going public - had no choice as we didn’t / and still don’t have private insurance - but this experience has really given me back so much faith in the public system.
Ok so, my appointment went great. My blood pressure was perfect - my dr even said I was the most cleaver pregant lady around - hehe this was until he saw my bls’s record. My levels were still too high for his liking, so he upped my insulin dose. I’m having about double. He warned me about hypo’s (very low bsl) but I have been fine. I’ve had 2 high readings, but the days leading up to my appt with him I had most high and only a few normal.
Tomorrow morning I had a growth ultrasound to check on bubs growth and fluid levels and a quick check on the placenta. I can’t wait - I love ultrasounds!!! getting extra sneak peaks at our bub is great.
Then Thursday I see my ob and endro again, and we will decided when is best to deliver bub. I’m hoping they say 37 - 38weeks - 38weeks has been the number they have said before, but I’m ready - bring this birth on!!!!

That is great Zoe - I am about to start trying for my second, and am so scared about the pre-eclampsia coming back, so it is good to hear a success story!
